So far it sounds like the "new light" is that it's cool to collect old non-JW Bibles now.
That would be convenient to distract JWs from collectables like Studies in the Scriptures and all other WT publications that someone might be able to read and realize that WT has been a false prophet for over a century. Replace those with old manuscripts that nobody will ever read.

Didn't they check Amazon? The Geneva Bible is still in print and available cheap for Kindle. Or do they think there's something magical about having a dusty, old copy propped up on display in THEIR offices, while dusty, old copies in museums everywhere else are non-miraculous?
Getting a Gutenburg Bible, now that would be miraculous. But WT would probably sell it for cash ASAP.

Of all the meetings, programs, and various "events" I was "privileged" to attend back when I was a bethelite, the Annual Meeting was the most disappointing. When I first went to bethel, we would have to take a personal Saturday off in order to attend it. I didn't bother with it. Annual Meetings always seemed rather old and stuffy compared to the more exciting Gilead Graduations. Later they started giving us that Saturday off to attend the Annual Meeting. As I recall, the only interesting thing to come out of it back then was announcing new GB members or maybe some construction project. A three hour meeting with only one or two interesting sentences. Of course, there would be people excitedly taking notes and sending them out to their friends afterward. But in reality, it was just the same WT Flavor-Aid they've been trying to promote as life-saving water of truth.
For recording the program at an assembly hall, I always had the best success of recording the broadcast from the radio signal for the hearing impaired.

The more time I spend with "worldly people" the more I realize...
by confusedandalone in... that they actually have more of a desire to get to knoww you then jehovah's witnesses.
for years at the kingdom hall although i was an elder everyone "knew of me" but no one knew me.
i realized that i never really had a friend who knew anything about me as a person or my background.

Another year done......thank you JW.net
by snare&racket ini have just finished the most difficult year of my academic life by far, since august i have had 4 days off.. the exams were from hell, i ran out of money with 2 months to go, 2 months rent to pay and 2 huge exams to go.
with few friends and family around, it made for a scary situation.. but i did it.... today i got the 'pass'.... 6 years done, one to go.... i am it i'm the final year of doctor training.
for all the kind words and encouragement from people here, thank you xxxx .
